It was a great Fly-in, Drive-in Hungry
Person's Breakfast. Thanks to everyone who participated it was a real
team effort. There has to be a special thanks to Diane Mooney who did
so much organizing and shopping. Also, a special thanks to Ralph
Peterson for the use of his hanger, his lawn mowing and hard work.
We served over 150 breakfasts of eggs, sausages,
hash browns, toast, jam, juice, coffee and there were 16 aircraft that
flew in from all over Sask. and Manitoba. The longest flight in was an
ultra light from Saskatoon that took three and a half hours. (It's a
two hour drive.) An east wind will do that. I'm sure he went home
quickly. The coolest aircraft was the Air Force Harvard 2 from Moose
Jaw, VNE 320 Knots.
The 50/50 draw winner was Mrs. Gert Williams
from Calgary. She was thrilled with her prize and said it would be a
tank of gas on the way home.
